My research and editorial contributions embrace interpretive studies, phenomenology, educational praxis, sociological theory, health sciences, and the creative arts.

I have expertise in qualitative research, with particular emphasis on phenomenology and narrative inquiry. I have created new university courses in human development, consciousness and interpretive studies, cross-cultural studies, the sociology of culture, Eastern religions, and music.

I am a skilled dissertation mentor, guiding practitioners from multi-disciplinary work-based areas to successful doctoral graduation. I have had experience with more than two hundred students and service as external examiner.

My contributions to new college creation: Founding faculty at Miyazaki International College (Japan), and Renaissance College (Canada). Co-developer of content-based language program for Jumeira University (Dubai).
